The designers of Mercedes-Benz create tomorrow's cars today between the two opposite poles of tradition and the modern age. At the core of their work is sensual purity as the definition of modern luxury.
With this design philosophy, Mercedes-Benz was the initiator of a design mutation with the current A-Class, introduced in 2012. The new design idiom with edges and creases – the corresponding recesses in the sheet metal – had the goal of creating clear shapes and sensual surfaces, which produce high tech and, at the same time, arise emotions. This made a decisive contribution towards the rejuvenation of the brand and the sales success of the company.
