The Concept A sedan showcar is the forerunner of a new design era. Its puristic, surface-emphasised design with reduced lines and grooves substantiates the further development of the Mercedes-Benz design idiom.
A classic three-box design with short overhangs and a flat greenhouse shifted backwards gives the Concept A sedan the proportions of a dynamic, coupé-like and, at the same time, compact premium saloon. The distinctive front section with a deep, forwards-tilting Panamericana grille and elongated bonnet with powerdomes exudes self-confidence. The headlamps ensure a look with high recognition value with the brand-typical eyebrow and an incisive grille structure on the inside, which "shimmers" in various colours, depending on the light medium. Beefily shaped wheel arches with reduced curvature emphasise the exclusive 20" wheels in the aerowheel look. Following the further developed design philosophy, lines and grooves were also reduced in the rear. The distinctive taillamp graphic, on the other hand, is realised as a structural sculpture.
